Letterboxd — Your life in film

I kept expecting to cringe and somehow cringed so much less than expected? Sure, I still cringed plenty (it was the 1950s, Marilyn is a tragic figure, etc.) but I really just enjoyed it.

Nobody’s perfect!

The more I think about it the more emotional I get

So many plot holes and no way in hell that Kate enjoys nyc in the 1870s but hugh jackman is just charming as hell

Stood the test of time (aka I watched this once before in ~2016)

Watch saoirse Ronan come out of her shell! And never wear green again! And it’s all so damn cozy

Sure the romance isn’t believable and the second half is too long but Audrey Hepburn??? Dancing on a counter in a 50s Parisian jazz club??? You can’t tell me you didn’t swoon

And yes she’s a manic pixie dream girl but i think she defined that trope so she gets to own it

Are we all aligned that Tom Bradley would be a terrible husband? 

Also this is a delightful little cinematic adventure

I hope Leo got hired as an urban planner given his relevant experience
