MOVIE A DAY FOR A YEAR - DAY 365
I don't know exactly what I have to say to explain why The Social Network is my favorite film of all time. I could say that it's purely because of my ever-enduring love for success stories. Perhaps it's because it's the only film that one of my top 5 favorite directors works with one of my top 5 favorite writers (excluding any Wes Anderson movies, as he is in both lists).
I think that the best way to describe why it's my favorite film, is to not. To just say that "you had to be there", where "there", means my head. The simplest explanation that I can possibly give is to write that the performances are perfect, the direction is perfect, the script is perfect, the score is perfect, and the subject matter is perfect. I don't know what else to say, The Social Network is a perfect film.
