Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ★½

Damn, J.J. & Kathleen did us dirty. In juxtaposition with The Last Jedi, this works quite well as a comprehensive thesis on the disparity between director and producer. Not that Abrams "isn't a director" (nor Johnson "not a producer")... he's just primarily a producer, and this film is unfortunately the most glaring example of his -- and Kennedy's -- bastardizing and covetous "creative" priorities in the SW franchise. Professors need no longer teach/lecture about the difference between dir. & prod.; just screen students The Last Jedi, followed by The Rise of Skywalker, and call it a day.

Note: Bob Iger is
probably Beelzebub.
