First Bertolucci. I can already get a good grip on his style of filmmaking, as this film is a broad epic that almost feels like a completely different film past a certain plot point. Definitely an emotional one.

Uncut Gems 2019
Fifth watch of this thing. It is masterfully written and the direction is sharp. I find myself laughing a lot more at the subtle jokes you don't catch the first, second, and third time around. Excited to read the script for this one. So excited to see what the Safdies do next.

I'd rather talk about literally anything else in this film than the 'Terminator 4' gag because everybody gets that. But what I don't understand is... this film. I will research the four individual segments and the many plotlines of it afterward but I'm not mad at Godard. I'm not disappointed at all. I'm actually intrigued.
