Okay the first time I watched it was on my birthday, like three days out of lockdown, way too drunk and high to be there and I slept through a lot.
This time my boyfriend, who has read the books, was there to explain everything. I was sober and awake and had a delicious magnum while watching. It's good stuff!
I don't think there has been a better looking movie. It's gorgeous!
Will never get over his name being 'Paul' but this definitely feels both very good but ultimately a big build to what I hope is a huge and wonderful sequel.
I LOVED how this was 84 mins long
But I also felt like maybe it needed 10 more minutes at the climax. Felt like there wasn’t much jeopardy for our heroes. Also some extreme violence at the top of the film and then none later on. Maybe I’ve lost my mind but felt like it needed to be a little more violent?
It is fun to watch lesbians having fun though and the fact that we can have queer movies like this with a cast like this is pretty cool

The problem with adapting a movie that is so firmly imbedded into pop culture is that you are stuck. Do you keep all the lines that people know and love, knowing they will never have the same impact as the first time round? Or create all new jokes, knowing they will be compared to the original, iconic lines?
