Eli Olsberg’s review published on Letterboxd:
"One movie for them, one for me."
Peele is the only new filmmaker to be a marquee draw and like all filmmakers that influence the moment, the ones that followed in his steps (a couple of which he even produced) put their thematic foot forward giving academic dialogue over stand-ins for Grief, Trauma, Sociopolitical Moments, etc. On the other hand, Peele never lost his step and gives a shit that you're entertained, no matter how meta-textual or incisive things get, which makes those meta-textual and incisive things hit even harder. Great viewing experience, uses IMAX beautifully, and the crowd went totally apeshit for the Akira moment.
