masterpiece. my favorite from bergman that i have seen. this movie has some of my favorite dialogue ever, not to mention how visually beautiful it looks (especially for 1957). such great writing, acting, and directing as well. i love how philosophical it is. bravo.
wong kar wai is becoming one of my favorite filmmakers, his style is so unique and in an odd way comforting. the camera movement above and around the characters, getting close then panning away quickly. constantly bustling neon streets that are filled with life and freshness.Β
ruud gullit for sampdoria. motorbikes, falling in love, trying to figure out what love is. making enough money to eat and have somewhere to lay your head at night.Β
fallen angels is a masterpiece and a comforting one at thatΒ

2nd favorite animated film of all time behind Ratatouille.
Bravo!!
an absolute landmark in not only cinematic history, but in the entire world of art. 2001 is eerie, frightening, and existential and still remains one of the most beautiful depictions of life itself. 2001 contains some of the most impressive visual shots that iβve ever seen and Hal is a terrifying antagonist. everything this film has to offer is nothing less than perfection. the score, the costume design, the dialogue. this is one of those films everyone must view at least once in their lifetime.
