currently boycotting watching the american president because the michael douglas character should have been played by bill pullman
Today I noticed the last, heartbreaking moment in Little Women that is set during childhood. As Jo rips up the letter she has written to Laurie, a sun-filled, hazy memory brings us away from the cold river that Jo stands above, showing for a brief moment a scene where Jo takes Laurie under her arm as they embrace in a distinctly loving and playful way.
Gerwig captures Jo's mourning for childhood beautifully and her desire…
Since George Mackay is not nominated for an Oscar for this film (which he adds so much to, on top of how stunningly beautiful it is), I would like to add some categories that I believe he would win:
Best Hand For a Baby to Hold
Most Running Done in a Film
Most Lactose Tolerant
Biggest Push (To Get the Truck Out of the Mud)
Most British-Sounding Breathing
Ok great can't wait to see George win one of these on Sunday cheers mate!
