  • Brewster McCloud

    Brewster McCloud

    ★★★

Parts I really love, but it's my least favourite Altman. I'll revisit in the future.

  • Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama

Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama

    ★★★

    Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezus

  • Avengers: Endgame

    Avengers: Endgame

    ★★★

    Needs more stakes.

  • Vice

    ★★★

    God bless Dick

  • Allied

    Allied

    ★★★

Allied's heart is in the right place, but tonally it's a bit all over the show.

  • The Accountant

    The Accountant

    ★★★

The Accountant is not as boring as the title may suggest; it has a few good action sequences but fails to be memorable.

  • Storks

    Storks

    ★★★

Storks is full of wacky moments and a ton of slapstick comedy. It managed to tickle me throughout, but it's unlikely to stick in the minds of audiences for years to come.

  • Doctor Strange

    Doctor Strange

    ★★★

Doctor Strange doesn't escape Marvel's typical cinematic formula, despite the shiny new coat of paint, yet it is still an enjoyable action flick.

  • Blood Father

    Blood Father

    ★★★

Mel Gibson is back on screens in Blood Father. If you leave expectations at the door, you may find this to be a very enjoyable action B-movie indeed.

  • Free State of Jones

    Free State of Jones

    ★★★

Free State of Jones could have been a superb civil war period film; instead, some misjudged choices turn it into just a 'fine' civil war period film, that I still did admire.

  • Deepwater Horizon

    Deepwater Horizon

    ★★★

I did not particularly enjoy Deepwater Horizon, but that is not wholly due to fault in the filmmaking. It deals with macabre subject matter, a real life disaster, and I commend Peter Berg for how he portrays it in the film.

  • The Magnificent Seven

    The Magnificent Seven

    ★★★

The Magnificent Seven is a competent modern take on the age-old premise of renegades banding together to defend the people. Ultimately, it fails to reach the heights of the films in a similar vein that preceded it.
