  Going into Joker was perhaps the most cautiously optimistic I've ever been towards a film, what I felt confident about however was that Joaquin Pheonix would give one hell of a performance and I can gladly say that he truly did. Pheonix's performance as Joker is enthralling, his interpretation of the character will no doubt become iconic and I was engrossed and often uncomfortable watching the mental dissent leading to the Joker, brought through the bleak and pessimistic Gotham City…

  The tension of Parasite literally had me forgetting to breathe in parts, this is the most immersive film experience I've had in 2019.
