Ready or Not has such a simple and strong horror concept that is executed perfectly and gets weird in all the right ways.

Samara Weaving is such an incredibly likable lead and eventual badass, like hell yeah rip that dress and go to war, rooting for you all the way, punch another child! The Le Domas family also are wonderful, each member at different states of mind about the game, their family history defining their perceptions and treatment of Grace, but also how totally cartoonishly evil they often are. The film isn't afraid to get goofy in the absurdity of the story resulting in some huge laughs to accompany the intensity and dread that the film also nails.

This was the hardest I've grinned coming out of a movie this year, I thoroughly reccomend seeing this film.
