• Men

I appreciate what Alex Garland is doing in this film thematically and visually — the cinematography is stunning — but it didn’t leave much of an impression on me. Jessie Buckley is captivating and Rory Kinnear is a frightening delight in all his many forms, but the story itself feels more cold than anything else.

Honestly what I was most concentrated on was the old guy sitting behind me who kept burping out loud every 15 minutes. Men, right?

    The Incredible Hulk

My deep dive into the MCU has led me to "The Incredible Hulk" and wowza was this quite a turn from "Iron Man." Honestly my favorite part was seeing Tony Stark come in at the end for one minute.

While I think Norton is a fantastic actor, this role was not made for him. I did enjoy the chemistry between him and Liv Tyler, though. Villainous Tim Roth is always such a delight to watch and I had a lot…

  • Iron Man

    Iron Man

First time watching “Iron Man” and I had a good time with it. I had no idea this is what the MCU would start off with, but it kept me on my toes throughout the runtime. Truly I never thought torture in Afghanistan or weapons of mass destruction would be on the bingo card. This definitely stands out among the formulaic Marvel films that I’ve seen. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are a lot of fun to watch together. I’m intrigued to see where the rest of the “Iron Man” series goes now!

  • Firestarter

A very lifeless movie that ultimately doesn’t know what it’s trying to do or where it wants to go. It rushes past everything, doesn’t get into anything remotely interesting with these characters and leads you down the most unimaginative story path. Not to mention there is nothing that deserves the horror-thriller genre here

Actually a very sweet and heartwarming story. Why shouldn’t you just go for whatever it is that you want to do!? I loved Mark Rylance and Sally Hawkins in this!!

    The Northman

“The Northman” definitely surprised me. At first I wasn’t sure if it would be my cup of tea, but Robert Eggers knows how to grip you with his stories. The cinematography is incredible. Alexander Skarsgård is a literal beast in this, and Nicole Kidman was like I never saw her before

I had such a fun time watching “The Bad Guys”! Kids will laugh, adults will enjoy the homage to heist movies from Steven Soderbergh and Quentin Tarantino and the cast adds a whole bunch of energy

It takes its time to really get going, but it packs a lot of emotional punches at the end. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Haley Richardson and Owen Teague

We're All Going to the World's Fair

I just did not enjoy this. It’s so muted and I was so bored throughout the entire thing. I do give credit for tackling the toxicity of the internet and Anna Cobb giving a solid debut performance. But aside from that, nothing else that caught my attention
