Turning Red 2022
Surprisingly really good! It starts out great, and even though the execution can be kind of a mess there’s a lot to appreciate here. Similar themes to Encanto, a little bit, but far better explored. It’s ridiculous, even for Pixar, but it’s fun and for me that’s enough

Come and See puts you in the middle of a nightmare, in a space of terror, delusion and frustration. It forces you to contemplate reality and humanity at its darkest, shoving down your throat the horrors of war and violence. As we gradually lose hope for salvation and happiness, we end up on pure hell, unable to escape or to even imagine to do it. Come and See is devastating, and it’s also basically perfect in every way. Few films do what this is able to do
