I’m torn about the director’s cut. The journey does feel a little more complete, but I also didn’t feel like any characters or relationships were under-developed or lacking in the theatrical cut. That’s probably still my preferred version. The additional ritual at night I’m especially on the fence about - I don’t think it’s believable that Dani & the couple from London would be willing to go watch something again right after the “suicides.” But given that Midsommar is such powerful art that I literally can’t look away from, more Midsommar will always be welcome!
