Emma Hodge’s review published on Letterboxd:
I liked this, but I didn’t love it. It’s hard to live up to the success of Black Panther, and Wakanda Forever tries its best with filmmaking and production design that work really well in the beginning. I teared up with the cold-open Marvel title card, and I thought the simultaneous tribute to Chadwick and T’Challa was beautiful. However, it started to fall off in the middle, and towards the end, nothing was really working for me anymore. The antagonist character is misused and the climax is underwhelming. What this team was able to pull off with all the challenges is worth noting, especially Letitia Wright who takes over in the lead with such grace.
