This film was gripping and well thought out. This is Alex Garland's specialty and I didn't expect anything less. Natalie Portman's performance was very redeeming for me as I've only seen her with horrible material to work with. Every time she was being questioned about what happen in The Shimmer she seemed truly annoyed and confused.

I also loved the creativeness of The Shimmer. Something that looks beautiful and inviting that holds twisted secrets.

A great idea of a what a horror movie can be. Despite being set in the middle of upscale New York, evil sneaks in. Great performance by John Cassavetes that really solidifies Rosemary's helplessness. I like that we never actually see her baby but are left with the character's reactions to guess for ourselves. Shots were framed very nicely and added to the eeriness.

There were a couple times when Rosemary's obliviousness was unrealistic, especially with the necklace and smoothie.

    Don't trust old people.
