Not quite the euphoria of Punch Drunk Love, but damn near close! Full of paradoxes, both pessimistic and optimistic, utterly alien and entirely familiar, personal yet universal. Greets us with a playful docu about the nature of coincidence, only to suddenly submerge us in a labyrinth of dying tycoons, charming misogynists, insecure cops, sensitive nurses and repressed child-celebs, all set to the wonderful tune of Aimee Mann and eccentric weather patterns.
