  I mean even taking the Night auteurism out of it this is a top to bottom major genre work, one which carefully and conscientiously examines love, faith, doom, & tragedy all through its characters, and on top of that the filmmaking is just absolutely out of this world. A lot to write about here but it’s also just all right there in front of you.
