He's Steve McQueen but really it's Steve McKing, to you and I

Reminded me of a cross between a Michel Gondry and a Mike Leigh and thats a compliment. Kind of fell a little flat towards the end but Sally Hawkins was magnificent throughout.

  • The Northman

    The Northman 2022

    ★★★★ Watched by EnteredTheVoid 19 May 2022

This isn't gonna reinvent revenge films but is totally worth it for the beautiful, barbaric and bizarre journey Eggers takes us on. Absolutely gorgeous photography on display. Maybe Robert's best thus far, certainly my favourite.

  • Copycat

    Copycat 1995

    ★★½ Watched by EnteredTheVoid 25 Mar 2022

Great premise not so great final product but I can't say I wasn't entertained throughout. Weaver banging her head against a wall was a highlight

  • Jackass Forever

    Jackass Forever 2022

    ★★★ Watched by EnteredTheVoid 23 Mar 2022

It was decent enough. Had a few stunts that left me more squeamish than anything I've seen before on Jackass but for me it's not the same without Ryan Dunn, Bam Margera, Brandon DiCamillo et al. The new crew were okay but I understand things (bones) don't last forever, despite the title so it makes sense to inject some new blood (and spill some) and un-scarred bodies into the fray.

  • Batman

    Batman 1989

    ★★½ Rewatched by EnteredTheVoid 13 Mar 2022

Probably not seen for a good 15 years. This used to be one of my favourite films on constant rotation in the VCR. Michael Keaton wasn't that great a Batman and this has NOT aged well. Jack is OK in places... the perfect Joker would be a mix of Jack (his calmness) and Heath (his craziness, when called for, not 24/7).
