For a comedy about relationships from the mid 90’s, Swingers has aged A LOT more gracefully than I thought it would have. Actually has an emotional core based on heartbreak and the struggle to move on rather than some misogynistic end goal. Nice!
Real interesting how a film about a bunch of outsiders looking in on Los Angeles are now industry titans all these years later. A fun hangout movie, probably won’t be returning to it anytime soon and does get a little too Film-bro-y for my taste (their obsession with Tarantino and Scorsese got a lil annoying) but the fact that I enjoyed Swingers at all is a pretty impressive feat for the genre.
