  • Elvis

you know what, yeah ok austin butler was incredible tbh. and you know what else, tom hanks ruined the whole thing. all of it. just ruined! awful!

I definitely preferred the first half of the film compared to later when it was all about Elvis’ deterioration and his Vegas residency, but the whole thing WAS generally enjoyable if you just sit back and try to have a good time. It’s doable, despite the fact that it isn’t the best film of the year by any stretch, and despite how it was so LONG even though it barely scratched the surface to Elvis’ life.

Good Luck to You, Leo Grande

This was weirdly comforting to watch, I loved the powerful messages about empowering older women and their sexuality and I love that it gave a really honest voice to sex workers too. Aside from all that, it was also just a really well made film with brilliant performances and chemistry between the leads.

THIS is exactly how you make a sequel to a classic.

What a ride. Watching this on the big screen is such an amazing experience, and I will anybody who is debating watching it to do so on the biggest screen possible. The ever-frequent flying sequences were absolutely seamless and were very welcome every time the action happened. It was genuine good fun and honestly an electrifying movie-going experience.

Yes there were one too many clichéd nods to the original,…
