Beyond the Red Line is one of the most impressive WWII movies I've ever seen. Terrence Malick masterfully uses contemplation to show the intimacy of soldiers in an almost untouchable beautiful setting, most unfortunately violated by the brutality and pain caused at the time of war. Malick proposes a sensorial and almost immersive experience in the environment, his direction is brilliant, for leading with such humanity and studying people's souls, the images on the screen, the text, everything has an absurd catalytic force.
