My favorite band! Performing some of their best work! In an arthouse concert film! Framed through magnificently dynamic and creative directing and editing that beats most traditional narrative features! Along with the band steadily joining up throughout the film leading to a climax that rivals and beats both The Two Towers and Endgame combined! There was no way in hell that I wouldn’t find this film perfect in every way!
Stop Making Sense isn’t simply a concert film. Or a transformative experience. It is an epic display of undisputed and incredible passion. The entire film is nothing but a passion project for everyone involved. Just like the Talking Heads themselves, Stop Making Sense is lightning captured in a bottle, lightning that will never strike again. They are truly something that only comes Once In A Lifetime.
