"But do you feel held by him? Does he feel like home to you?"
Unforgettable in every manner, 'Midsommar' is absolutely one of the best horror films ever. I'll never forget seeing it in theatres and being completely unaware of how wild this movie is. I left the theatre that day feeling so uneasy I thought I was going to have a panic attack. I can honestly say not many films have made me reach that level of uncomfortability so quickly and easily. (Really the only other film that has ever made me feel that way was the original 'Jacobs Ladder') anyways, with each re watch, I can't help but feel some sort of relief and happiness for our main character. I can't help feeling absolutely 0 sorrow or remorse for Christian. nor any of his buddies... and feel nothing but pure bliss for Dani as she finds her new home, despite the weird traditions they may have and their cult community. If you haven't seen this one yet, definitely check it out. It's for sure Ari Asters masterpiece and I can't wait to see what else he gives us in the future.
