Evan DePasquale’s review published on Letterboxd:
The way that David Byrne dances during this is probably the most infectious thing put to the screen. The energy and passion displayed during this acclaimed concert film is what I can only assumed sets it way above the bar in terms of concert films. The wonderful direction by Demme probably also has something to do with it also.
I don't really know anything about the band besides their names and stuff and after listening to this collection of their music I still can't quite pinpoint their genre. That is a good thing. They definitely seem very art-funk-synth-pop that just feels and sounds vintage and cool. I really dug a lot of the songs and I think I will listen to more of their stuff now.
Overall, I am happy I finally watched this and I am more inclined to try and find other unique concert films that have the same energy and passion put into them like this one has.
