    Watched The Recobbled Cut.

This has been on my radar for so long and what an absolute joy to finally watch.

I've watched films with missing footage (Metropolis, Lost Horizon) before but never something this unfinished - essentially a workprint. For someone like me who adores watching animation but doesn't totally understand the craft (or posess a single one of the skills required) it is a gift.

Really incredible stuff in here. Some of the bigger sequences really blew me…

    18. Food on Film

I have wanted to see this for so long and it did not disappoint.
Just an incredible film. Very funny in places and sexy in others and Nobuku Miyamoto's eyes just light up the whole screen.
    Food is amazing. I'm hungry.
    5 banger.

    19. Faith on Film

I definitely didn't grasp everything here but still found it pretty compelling for the most part.
I might have been more enticed by how the film looked and felt as opposed to the actual existential stuff but glad to have finally watched it.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Most fun I've had at a Marvel flick in ages and the first time in a long while that I didn't wish they were half an hour shorter. Might change to 4 stars once I've had time to think but right now I'm just buzzing from the ride.

The nostalgic stuff is great but it also makes you realise how brilliant the new characters and iterations have been. There is such a love for Spidey in this that I think…

    ~Extended Edition~

Just amazing. I can remember seeing all 3 films in the cinema with my Dad and Gollum was just unlike anything else that had ever been. The film still looks fantastic. I'm watching my old DVDs so would be interested to see if a newer, cleaner edition makes them look older.
Too many air-punch moments to list. The trio of Aragon, Legolas and Gimli really shine here and Sean Astin rips my heart out at the end.

"But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow.

    Even darkness must pass.

    A new day will come."
