Fast X 2023
Family X
"Family" Count: 33 (A NEW RECORD!!!!)
Fast X is the definition of a McDonald's movie. There's no doubting that it's bad for me. I am most certainly doing harm to my health by watching this movie. There are better options out there. But dammit, I like McDonalds. Fast X both sucks and rules. Recommended for Jason Momoa alone.

BlackBerry 2023
Why did this slap so hard?!? Was this what it felt like when all the dads saw Air last month?
BlackBerry avoids the typical trappings of "true story" films about business by having the energy of an anxiety-inducing thriller from beginning to end. A hilarious screenplay that somehow manages to lean heavily on its influences with absolute sincerity without ever becoming grating. The entire cast is exceptional with Jay Baruchel and Matt Johnson having a great rapport with one another.…

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
"Dog Days Are Over" is easily the best needle drop of the entire trilogy.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
It's crazy how much better the Guardians movies are to everything else in the MCU.
Also, hilarious how I went to a pizza place after this and they were playing "Come And Get Your Love" lol.

Chungking Express 1994
I've been wanting to see this movie for years and my friend told me that I should watch this today because it's Chungking Express Day. I'm so glad I did. This was amazing.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a *lot* to take in. It's James Gunn at his most vulnerable and raw. There are moments where it feels like it needs more time to breathe, but everything is in service of these incredible characters. It concludes the franchise's themes beautifully.
The action is the best of the series to date. It's a blast seeing the Guardians at their absolute peak, working together, protecting one another, and looking badass every step of…

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 2017
If Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is even half as emotional as this movie, I'm gonna cry my eyes out.
-
Guardians of the Galaxy 2014
The Guardians of the Galaxy movies really are on another level from the rest of the MCU. I lost so much interest in the overall franchise, yet I still love this group of characters so much and can't wait to see how James Gunn brings their story to a close.

Beau Is Afraid 2023
Beau Is Afraid is still a mix of good and bad on second watch. The first half excels in its darkly comedic exploration of paranoia, but the second half crumbles under Aster's ambitions, culminating in an ending that baffles me to no end. And yet, I'm captivated by it's messiness.

Suzume 2022
Just like with Your Name. and Weathering With You, Makoto Shinkai lets his ambitions run wild with Suzume. Its an insanely creative film that might bite off more than it can chew, but the story excels with great humor while striking an incredible emotional punch when needed.
Also, I love Daijin.
