One of the better surprises of 2019. Not just another [space] film. A stunt double, an astronaut, it doesn’t matter, Brad Pitt can do it all. A dark atmosphere presence like Ex Machina (2014). Hate it or love it — no in-between. Risky — yet still alluring. Disappointingly, it won't receive any love at the Oscars. It'll age well.

Jennifer Lopez really did THAT. Her notable performance kept me conscious. I felt I was being drugged too, it was just the uninteresting plot. A good time, depends who you ask. It could’ve been juicier with more thrill. Again, J.Lo is dazzling.

Filmed all over my neighborhood, so when I say this movie hits home, I mean it. So much heart and soul. It never loses sense of realism. It includes one of my favorite scenes all year. Jonah Hill delivers all emotions with impact & passion. Nostalgic and genuine. It made me reminisce of my time growing up. I had similar friends. I love that Jonah Hill didn’t shy away from slurs and vulgar language, because it really be like that when you’re young.

The on-screen chemistry between Brie Larson & Samuel L. Jackson is dynamic. Not one of the elite MCU films, but one filled with the most heart instead. It gracefully lives up to the hype. Entertaining from start to finish. It’s decorated in Marvel humor.
