was going to file this one under "movies I have to rewatch again because the lowkey misogyny was so unexpected that it took me out of the movie." but after talking with Jacob it was more than just that, I can handle ambiguous and restrained movies as long as I feel something, as long as I feel characters grow, but I just didn't get that here. It doesn't help that Haemi was by far the most interesting character and she was reduced to what she was, it's a shame really. it was captured beautifully though! the cinematography and score rank high on my list of favorites this year. I just really wish I had loved this as much as I thought I was.
