It’s nothing special, just a decent horror flick to watch for Halloween season. It has some interesting original ideas and concepts but it’s mostly pretty generic and filled with tropes seen hundreds of times already. I also felt like a weird mix of Knives Out (because the main character was an outsider being opposed by a very rich family) and Midsommar (because of the structure; An event turns sinister due to “foreign” tradition).
