Shotgun Wedding

Shotgun Wedding

★★★

Shotgun Wedding was both exactly what I expected along with a few things I didn’t expect. It’s exactly what you think it’s going to be: a ridiculous action comedy, but in a good way. It has a wild setup to the action that somehow works once it really gets going. The unexpected comes from switching up classic tropes that we’ve seen in previous wedding movies. It also features a cast that looks like it’s having a blast, especially Jennifer Lopez,…

M3GAN

M3GAN

★★★★

M3gan gets 2023 off to a full throttle start. It’s not often that the first major release of the year hits this hard. And let’s make this abundantly clear, M3gan hits hard, then rears back and hits you again. It’s like a flurry murder, jokes and campy entertainment, bludgeoning audiences back to the heyday of 80’s schlock. I saw this movie in a packed promotional screening and the unified reactions of laughs, jumps and cheers from the audience at all…

Babylon

Babylon

★★★★½

Babylon tells the story of a woman named Nellie LeRoy, played by Margot Robbie, and her journey through the evolution of film. Originally a wild partier, she is first given a role in a silent film by Brad Pitt’s, Jack Conrad, because the original actress died. This is also where we meet Manny, played by Diego Calva, who loves film, but is also madly in love with Nellie.

As a lover of film in general it’s always a pleasure to…

He has two of the highest grossing films of all time with Avatar and Titanic, and two of the greatest sequels ever made with Aliens and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Needless to say that fans have been buzzing with excitement as the highly anticipated Avatar: The Way of Water inches closer and closer to release this holiday season. So, does it live…

While not a great conclusion to the Jurassic saga, seeing both casts together as well as some cool Dino action is fun enough.

Although Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has some pacing issues, it's a fun movie with action, suspense, and emotion. Elizabeth Olsen deserves an award for her amazing performance as the Scarlet Witch. Excited to see where they take these characters in the future.

Had a chance to watch Ms. Marvel Ep 1-2 for FandomWire! While it seems targeted at a younger audience, it's charming & enjoyable so far. Characters are relatable. There isn't much action yet, but its lead's charisma keeps things flowing. Interested to see what happens next!

Morbius is a pretty bad movie. It has some fun moments but overall the stuff that had potential went nowhere.

Sony Pictures did NOT learn its lesson from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This hodgepodge mess was thrown together for the sake of furthering a cinematic universe instead of telling a good story.
