• Awoken

    Awoken

    ★★

Feels like the first christian horror movie ever made.

As bland as it can be.

    Couple of cool death scenes.

Definitely not worth your time my dearest friends.

  • Open 24 Hours

    Open 24 Hours

    ★½

I was going to give this two stars, but after the last scene in the end I change my mind.

After a slow and boring first half, I was expecting that things pick up in the second half. Indeed something start to happen, but it was so generic and predictable that I didn't enjoy this film at all.

  • Brahms: The Boy II

    Brahms: The Boy II

    ★★★

I can see why some people have issues with this film, but I was expecting alot worse.

Despite some flaws, watching this film was entertaining and fun.

The good moments don't compensate the overall lack of story, but I do recommend this film if you want some light horror.

  • The Vast of Night

    The Vast of Night

    ★★★★½

The Vast of Night is a mix between Twilight Zone and X-Files and it's absolutely GREAT!

This one kept me hooked from the beginning to the end. I couldn't even blink away at the conclusion of this film.

Set in the sixties, it's beautifully shot and directed.

It has long scenes full of dialog, that seems to drag but actually the dialogue is so interesting that you just want more.

On the other end, has some quick moments to the point it feels a Danny Boyle movie.

Great surprise, amazing film, go and watch it, I'm still baffled.

  • Alone

    Alone

    ★★★

Simple concept with good execution makes this film a very competent thriller.

The acting and the suspense were decent.

Unfortunately, this one is a very forgettable movie, with nothing to write home about.

Still a good watch if you just want to put something on without thinking much about it.

  • Greyhound

    Greyhound

    ★★★

Good movie about the battles in the Atlantic between the german u boats and the allied convoys.

Jumps right into action and you get presented with alot of shouts about coordinates and positions (maybe too many shouts).

It has a very realistic aproach and that's why the plot is about one sentence long.

There is just one character and it's Tom Hanks, the others are just names and faces without any character development, and that's a negative aspect I noticed while watching.

Watch it for the historical context, action and cool effects.

  • The Endless

    The Endless

    ★½

It starts really slow and boring.

After the sci fi stuff start to happen, I wasn't wowed at all and I couldn't care less about all the characters.

It's very confusing and very little makes sense, or I am just dumb (EDIT: after some research on the webs, the theory that I am dumb is confirmed. Althouh, the meanings behind each scene and sub plots are not that easy to pick up. Still confusing to the point you will need to read a wiki and sometimes that's not good).

Almost two hours I'll never get back, this film is just a nonsence waste of time.

  • The Babysitter: Killer Queen

    The Babysitter: Killer Queen

    ½

Tries to be funny and stylish but its just bad.

  • Incident at Loch Ness

    Incident at Loch Ness

    ★★★½

    This was hilarious.

A mockumentary about a film crew trying to make a documentary at Loch Ness about the mythical monster.

It starts slow, but it picks up and gets great.

Not the best mockumentary around, but after all a great watch.

  • Don't Deliver Us from Evil

    Don't Deliver Us from Evil

    ★★★½

What a wicked satanic trip. French films from this period are weird and I love it!

    Great music too.

  • Malevolent

    So boring it hurts

    ★★½

Intense little thriller that becames repetitive after a while.

    Could have been better.
