  • The Vast of Night

    The Vast of Night

    ★★★★½

The Vast of Night is a mix between Twilight Zone and X-Files and it's absolutely GREAT!

This one kept me hooked from the beginning to the end. I couldn't even blink away at the conclusion of this film.

Set in the sixties, it's beautifully shot and directed.

It has long scenes full of dialog, that seems to drag but actually the dialogue is so interesting that you just want more.

On the other end, has some quick moments to the point it feels a Danny Boyle movie.

Great surprise, amazing film, go and watch it, I'm still baffled.

  • Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

    Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

    ★★★★½

I was glued to the screen the entire filme.

Such an amazing performance by the actors, great character development, great story, great writing and great cinematography.

Got me very emotional a couple times I admit.

This is what cinema is all about, loved it!

In the cesspool that Netflix is, sometimes you find the hidden gems really deep in the mud.
This movie is fucking mesmerizing. The story was so engaging I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.
The ambiance, the soundtrack, the performances and the pace were on point.
Malek proves once more that he is one of the best actors today. Great performance.
I think the end is open for interpretation, and that's for the best. I love when a good movie opens debate.
Oh, good to see DJ Qualls around.

  • Lake Mungo

    Lake Mungo

    ★★★★½

This found footage documentary is AMAZING!
This is not you typical found footage movie in terms of story and structure. It's not a camera crew entering a haunted house or something, is a documentary telling the story of a family after the daughter dies in Lake Mungo and the strange things that happen after that.

It starts really creepy, then the story takes many twists that you just can't predict what happens next or where this is going.

Unpredictable, scary, interesting and original, this is a movie you SHOULD watch if you like this genre of found footage.

  • Marriage Story

    Marriage Story

    ★★★★½

I really thought I was going to dislike this movie but ended up loving it... so raw and so real!
The performances were out of this world, they both deserved the Oscar.

One of the best I have watched this year... well done Netflix
