"Now get your bony ass outta my sight!"

While the specific story details (mergers, acquisitions, blah, blah, blah) wasn't something I could invest in, the characters' journey however was. She genuinely wants to climb the corporate ladder so she's not stuck doing what most of society expects of her. There's some fun moments along the way as Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford shared some nice chemistry. This film also expertly shows how people can just believe someone based on their position and not their actual character. Pretty nice watch and the ending was great. You go, girl.

The final 10 minutes managed to make me freeze. I wish the entire film was like that. This had a lot going against it since I'm not the biggest fan of these arthouse horror films. I'm also not one that eats up atmospheric moods, I can appreciate it but that isn't enough to tide me over. Even with the assured direction and final moments, this didn't do much for me. I'm not surprised my rating ended up on the lower end.

"You promised me the drive. Not the win."

God damn. This was my most anticipated film of 2019 and it delivered on all fronts and then some. Christian Bale has always been my favourite actor and I'm not kidding you one bit in saying that this has become my favourite performance and perhaps movie with him. James Mangold has crafted such a well made movie that feels big, epic and yet, it didn't lose any intimacy or heart.

Taika Waititi directed Jojo Rabbit and now he plays a rabbit. Very cute yet depressing in how it conveys its message. Good on the actors, especially Waititi, in lending their voices and names for this campaign.
