Starting off the new year and decade with a classic I've been meaning to watch for so long.
First off, I think this was very deserving of the Oscars it won. Very deserving of being regarded as a classic too. The choreography was just impressive, explosive at times and energetic all the time. Loved the use of colours, whether it be from the set decoration, costumes or the lighting. It really matched the mood as the story progressed. Not one of my favourite musicals, but one that I'm very happy to have now seen.
I'm actually quite interested to see what Steven Spielberg does with the remake.
