Review In A Nutshell:
Although The Force Awakens brought the nostalgic thrills and chills that it's fans have long clamoured for, Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi aims to steer far enough from familiar waters in order to bring variety. These variations comes in the form of confronting encounters, conflicting emotional waters, and surprising developments, all meshed together within the comforting Star Wars formula that should please casual and hardcore audience of the franchise. With Abrams back at the helm for the finale, I fear that such innovations and momentum would be put to halt for a product that would only dwell on safe waters.
