as a critic i would have to say this movie was underwhelming. it honestly felt like a mixture of a mariah carey biopic and a star is born. it had spirit and i'm not going to say it lacked originality cause god knows how many movies have had the same premise. i do think they should've spent more time on actually giving it a cohesive plot.

as a lamb? they did this movie dirty. like it's not the greatest movie but by no means did it deserve to get nominated for a razzie. this was mariah's first directorial debut and it was honestly impressive. a lot of shit was happening to her around this time yet she still managed to achieve successful singles. so yes, i gave it extra points cause that's motha and imma always stand by ha!
