Fernando Pelaez Rovalo’s review published on Letterboxd:
Natalie Portman gives one of the best performances of 2018 and of her career. It’s incredible how well thought out her character is. The movie has a really nice flow, which might not be the case for many, but it worked for me. Oddly enough, Vox Lux manages to be disturbing and bizarre while also being quite grounded with its themes. If someone tells me they absolutely hate this movie, I would understand. For me, it worked in so many levels it’s insane. The movie reminded me of 2018’s A Star is Born in certain aspects, but I somehow think Vox Lux did it better. Really good!
