Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars: The Last Jedi ★★★★

An uncompromising, bold new direction for an ages old franchise whose problems are only so frustrating because the rest is so damn good.

What Rian tries to achieve, and mostly pulls off, has incredible depth and adds new found meaning to the Star Wars Universe. Sometimes his writing plays things a bit too subtle, to a fault, and people completely miss the beauty in what this film is trying to say. He also seems to purposely restrain himself from focusing on whats obviously the most interesting storyline between Luke, Rey, & Kylo which, while bold & in the spirit of the film's message, was a poor choice.
