I love when you can see in a movie how much love the director and the team puts into it. Very fun and tense, although the ending was not perfect.

so sweet that I forgave right away the predictable ending. It captures the angst that comes with growing with a great lead that makes you empathize with her, and powerful performances by the supporting cast, specially Rachel McAdams and that blonde girl who is SO funny

I can’t believe people that are familiar with Anderson’s filmography think all his movies are the same because of… style and photography? Thematically, all his movies are about different obsessions. And create different worlds and all. It is a shame that the new tik tok trend is kinda making his films obnoxious for some people with no reason why. At the end, he will keep making his fun little movies with silly geese characters and im thankful for that

  • Beau Is Afraid

    Beau Is Afraid

    ★★★½

I think this score is more than fair. I almost had an anxiety attack several times during the watching. Will not watch again, I think, but it's definitely something original that encapsules Aster's obsessions and styles and puts it out in a very schizophrenic way, which I think is deliberate. I agree with something I read that this movie should have distinguished reality from imagination to be more effective. Either way, it's shocking and funny, weird and flawed, but interesting and very well told.
