    Bad Genius

    ★★★

An exhilarating teenage heist film. With sharply edited shots and precise timing dynamic is no way of not rooting the high crime of exam cheating, that the strong assembly of casts commits, to succeed. Though the reconfiguration of this cautionary tale does not fetch the roller-coasting loops with glory, this gimmicky improvisation of Ocean's 11 is more than enough to keep you safe in the edge of your seat.

Life is neither unfair nor tragic, is a plain head-and-tail when it squeezes you to deal with grief. Thereafter, it's a total loss when the person who snatched your life away is already redeeming his deeds, received by the same God you pray upon.

A two-and-a-half hours film has never been this perfect. With its minimalism, both in narrative and visual, this film unobtrusively configurates the minutiae of social jealousy and class disparity. Testing the viewer's patience under its ambiguous trajectory to a scroching and rewarding ending.

    Koki-Koki Cilik

    ★½

Derived from a generic, derivative writing, this movie is so mind-numbingly cliche. Constantly tried to put my sense of clarity off during the screening to subterfuge a bunch of "meh" moments. Fairly to say, it's a sort of whatever kid's movie.

  • Incredibles 2

    Incredibles 2

    ★★★

Fascinated by the fluidity of the transgressive action sequences. Although the blazing and slick super hero acts sometimes crapped my head, I was in total wheel of joys. A sequel that gains the term "as pleased as we expected".

    Kulari Ke Pantai

    ★★½

Besides the feel-good elements of summer movie, I dont think this movie speaks to the younger generation. It's not even a fun ride, the acting of the kids is surprisingly too decent for being handled by Riza's master hand, and each beats of the interplay slowly drain in a clunky rhythm. Yet again the spoiled brat needs to admit that her personality is way not cooler than the brassy adventurous kid.

  • Hereditary

    Hereditary

    ★★★

(For anyone with a high tolerance in horror movie) It's a cryptic horor gig in a slackly gripping plot pace. Despite intended to be unsettling, the over-repeated disdains merely settle as a mind-numbing catharsis. The gender barking moment is darn evoking, but it imbalances the huge throb of mental crisis the family rattles on that has raised this classic haunted house setup into the new era of horror film.
