Ok the way that this film begins fun and light as it follows the story of an idealist romantic who just wants to love this courtesan with all his heart and perform stupid elton john poetry and sing about how neat love is before it dramatically shifts and we get one of the most stressful and phenomenal scenes of all time .
El Tango De Roxanne completely alters the tone of this entire story. ewan screaming out 'why does my heart cry? / feelings i can't fight / you're free to leave me but just don't deceive me and please / believe me when i say i love you' will literally Never leave my head.
HOW does someone just DIRECT THAT????? AND SO PERFECTLY??? FUCK ME!!!!!! I LOVE THIS FILM SO MUCH IT PAINS ME!!!!!!
