This isn't quite as good as Herzi debut You Deserve a Lover, as it at times a little too indebt to some notions of French social realism, especially in the longer discussion scenes. Yet, she remains very gift with actors and as long as this focuses on the main character efforts to keep her large family going this hard drive and a great eye about negotiating surviving without the easier populism outs the genre sometimes offer.
