Filipe Furtado’s review published on Letterboxd:
During the first 20 years of his movie directing career Stuart Gordon used his early days as stage director as starting ground for splatter, by the mid 00s he shifted the proposition and started using his splatter training as shock effect tecnique for stage heavy earth-bound horror on both this one and the earlier Edmond. This black comedy of men's inhumanity and stupidity is all over the place (particularly when it drifts away from Rea's unluckiest man on earth) and the midsection in particular drags a lot, but as delivery machine for some blunt in your face nastiness it is pretty effective.
