Death wish. Burning from inside while reaching the capital high. Quite the achievement the Safdies pull here considering there is really no modulation Sandler's start in full crisis mode and the film just plays variations on that for 135 minutes that shouldn't work, but does through a combination of Bronstein/Benny editing, the performances and the amount of authentic detail throw-in. Sandler is great, KG is great in their big scene near the end (and as a Boston Celtics addict who was really stressed throughout those two weeks that neverending series take place, I will assume this movie is an actual documentary and Howard somehow helped KG to feel the gem) and both Fox and Bogosian are incredible on this and deserve to get far more praise than they received so far.
