I understand that this was covered on MST3K and it has a ton of low-ball reviews on this site, but...DO YOU HAVE NO JOY? A kick-ass group of dames assembling the band to take on a drug-dealing Jack Palance. Boom. Right there you got a must-see. It's like the first six-issues of a Wildstorm comic.
Seven female stereotypes teamup to fight Jack Palance. It's racist, sexist and stupid. I enjoyed it. They have a cool van.
C'est ben épais, mais en même temps, j'aimerais ben ça que ce groupe de vigilantes existe pour vrai. Pis c'est hot que y'a pas de Charlie pour leur dire quoi faire.
Angels' Brigade is an Andy Sidaris movie, but made by Greydon Clark.
Clark would never have access to the Hawaiian locales like Sidaris, but he did understand the importance of hiring Darby Hinton, as well as not concerning himself with the acting talent of his leads.
This hot mess opens with a 12 yr old bottling a drug dealer because he’s got the sweats from weed withdrawal before segueing into a bunch of dorks in a Vegas nightclub dancing in their seats to a song I wish I could erase from memory immediately, being performed by a woman with as much presence as a mop handle (susan kiger).
I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume the song is called shine your love based on those being the only words.
Now the acting is porn grade, but you do get TWO castaways from Gilligan’s island; the Skipper & Thurston Howell the third. Oh and jack pallance (who you might remember as beelzebub from

It's a bad movie alright, but I can't deny that I had some fun with it as a whole. Definetly watch the MST3K episode on it and the version with the rifftrax commentary over it.

The Greers were hot.
“According to a DVD interview with cinematographer Dean Cundey, Peter Lawford had to do several of his scenes sitting down because he was so drunk he had trouble standing.”
This reveals two things about the movie, one that is shocking and one that isn’t shocking. What’s not shocking is that Peter Lawford was loaded and I wouldn’t surprised if he wasn’t the only one drunk while filming. What is shocking is that the cinematographer of THE THING shot this film. I guess we all have to get our start somewhere.
Yet even more proof that quentin tarantino shoulda just been a deviantart fan artist. Dont be fooled by the stars this film is not good. but i enjoyed it, angels!
Jiggle TV (a real term) consisted of tamely titillating shows from the 70s like Charlie’s Angels which, as the Encyclopedia Brittanica explains, “inherited a television culture that was more open, and tolerant than ever before… [and] tended to feature young, attractive, often scantily clad women (and later men as well).” In other words, the writing played second fiddle to the wardrobe (or lack thereof). In terms of ratings, it was a massively successful formula. In terms of quality… well…
Angels’ Brigade appears to have been a feeble attempt to duplicate the success of Jiggle TV on the big screen, but one has to wonder why as movie-going audiences in 1979 were already lining up to see much more explicit stuff…
a film where 6 foxy 70s babes fight a drug-dealing jack palance really ought to have been a bit more fun than this.
it's still pretty cool, and it has its moments for sure, but it should have been so much better.
