I was not expecting an American Classic. This was a great experience.
Richard Pryor RIP was amazing. Up until a couple of years ago I was used to watching Hollywood take the brightest black comedians or music artist into actors to turn them in to over the top exaggerated characters or goofy funny accents to a movie.
19fucking78 and this is easily one of the best socially conscious American movie. Probably holds up better now.
I love how the director lets you laugh when you want and makes you scratch your head in some because he removes the suggestive music. Music is only played in two instances, monotonous work or having fun.
This was so ahead of its time that the Ford plant, the cars, the circumstances at home are eerie and forewarning.
I love this movie.
