A fascinating insider look at the experiences of a select group of activists involved in movements built by people of colour in the UK, including the London Black Revolutionaries, R Movement, and Black Lives Matter UK. As we get to know these activists, their motivations and aspirations, we also watch LBR implode as the founder breaks from the rest of the collective over tactics and egotism. The heart of this film, for me at least, is Tay, an 18 year old Marxist with R Movement. He speaks slowly, humbly and with great feeling about intersectionality, tying racism and oppression to class analysis, handing out flyers on rights in police stops, reaching out to feminist groups, and spearheading homeless outreach and care packages. Inspiring.
