  Uh, kind of... fascinating. Like, I think that this is actually a pretty good idea for the conclusion of this reboot trilogy– though it quite literally posits the idea that a reboot is a traumatic generational response made by desperate people who have been pigeonholed into a single lane by an uncaring public– but the execution is just... silly. Very, very silly. Everything about it screams "god, I wish we were making this in the 80s." Every character's personality is from absolutely no later than 1985. Even Michael Myers's knife is from the 80s. You've been at this 40 years, hit the Williams Sonoma and get some dependable gear. Don't act like you can't afford it, you got murder man money.

  Can't quite put this up there with the 2018 reboot, but this romantic, vampiric slasher drama is far beyond the senseless motions and rhythms of Halloween Kills. It's purposeful and tragic and unique. David Gordon Green and team have developed a trilogy that honestly doesn't work well at all as a cohesive statement, but each piece is distinctive.

  With Halloween Ends, the cosmic, fuming lifeforce of Michael Myers in Kills proves to be short-lived. His hatred is weakening within his body. Hiding in a sewer, a secluded tomb for his mummified look, this version of Myers in Ends is old and decrepit.
