Filipino stars back then are really way better and more good-looking than the ones of today. Films like this with good soundtrack and some likable characters make me reminisce my childhood even tho I was too young when this was released. I hope they make films like this today with different version but same vibes and fun.
masarap ata yung puchanesca nila dito
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG I'D BEEN WANTING TO REWATCH THIS I'M SO HAPPY THEY PUT IT ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!
i watched this countless times on tv as a kid and it's always been the first thing that comes to mind when i think of good filipino movies. i rewatched this to see whether it's just the nostalgia or it's really as good as i remember it, and i'm glad it's the latter. the soundtrack! the cast! the story! the ending! ICONIC. they don't make mainstream movies like this anymore.
(young patrick garcia if you're reading this i am free on friday night if you would like to hang out i am free on friday night friday night is when i am free to hang out on friday night so if you want to hang out on friday night i am free)
Brothers. Sisters. Ang eepal ninyong lahat! Breeding? Huh? Wala kayong karapatan! Mga pakshet kayong lahat!
They don't do teen movies like this ano shuta ang iconic. The ensemble, the soundtrack, the cameos!!!!
Also, that last scene where they lipsynced to Next in Line, poetic cinema.
the way assunta de rossi’s “mga pakshet kayong lahat!” is basically the philippine equivalent of saoirse ronan’s “women have minds as well as just hearts” monologue in little women (2019)
Surprisingly good. Entertaining youthful segments with some underlying dialectical philosophizing, all communicated thru effective anthology editing. Assunta De Rossi is a gay icon.
3. production design at frames ng pelikula huhu other than na super y2k aesthetic, andun parin yung own taste of pinoy style na di ko maexplain basta (it made me nostagic too! naalala ko kabataan ko hehe)
4. ngiti ni patrick garcia (ako nalang pls)
5. si john pratts (chat mko)
overall i had fun watching the film mehehehe never ko kasi natapos/nasimulan to tuwing nalabas sa tv
An anxiety-inducing version of FRIENDS with less privileged characters. Isa pa, Patrick can hit it for free lels. Aliw, beh. Matutulog akong masaya.
back when filipino comedy were creative & actually made sense 🤧🤧 y2k nostalgia!!
Holy shit, I was actually surprised on how good this film is. The storyline of each character and how each of their experiences are intertwined with each other is astonishingly well-crafted. And the production. wow. I miss this type of Filipino films where the exaggeration has an actual purpose in the movie. Overall this film is an enjoyable and nostalgic coming of age film.
P.S. I actually thought Heart Evangelista was going to have her own storyline in the movie.
